Dr. Karen Guenette teaches you how to use the Lifewave IceWave patches to treat your own back pain. She personally demonstrates the Haltiwanger Cross Protocol.
Here is how to find the the right spot to place the patches.
Have the sufferer put one finger on the spot of the pain.
Ask the sufferer to drink at least one, preferably two glasses on water. Ask the sufferer to rate the pain out of 10.
Remove the protective cover to expose the adhesive.
Place the tan patch over the spot of the pain.
Ask the sufferer to move around and rate the pain again to determine if there has been any change.
If there is still pain, place the white patch on the sternum after removing half of the adhesive protective cover and ask for a rating of the pain.
If there is still pain, move the white patch to about 2 finger widths over the tan patch.
Ask for a rating of the pain. If there is still pain move the white patch to two finger widths to the right of the tan patch.
If there is still pain, move the white patch to about 2 finger widths to the right side of the tan patch.
Ask for a rating of the pain. If there is still pain move the white patch to two finger widths underneath the tan patch.
If there is still pain, move the white patch to about 2 finger widths below the tan patch.
Ask for a rating of the pain. If there is still pain move the white patch to two finger widths to the left of the tan patch.
One of these positions will usually bring pain relief. Leave the patches in that position for up to eight hours.
In the event that this doesn’t work, it may mean that the person has reverse polarity. If this is the case simply reverse the positions of the white and the tan patches and retry the same patch placements with the tan patch where the white one was.
Once you are happy with the location of the white patch, peel the rest of the adhesive cover of a secure the patch in place.
